WELCOME
Anne Bekker, Special Populations Coach with the Office of High School Teaching and Learning, has been tentatively assigned to SOE on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She will support out SPED Team. Ms. Bekker served on our accreditation team last year.
Support our Seniors: FINAL GAME
In light of the recent violence occurring across the city during sports activities, schools are tightening security measures to maintain student safety. Consequently, no student spectators will be allowed to attend the last basketball game of the season. Ms. Megan Flickinger, Athletic Director for the Campus, is encouraging all teachers to support Seniors in the final game of their high school years. Only uniformed athletes, specific parents, coaches, and faculty will be admitted. Check the Athletic Schedule for the details.
Classwork and In-School
In-School needs teacher support if it is to continue to operate. Students must receive assignments for the day(s) assigned. This is so vital.
Acknowledgement and Reminder
During the disruption that occurred on the 2nd floor last week, teachers assertively contained their classes and kept them from converging on the halls. Others made certain to write Misconduct Reports for the unmanageable few. Way to go!

TO THE STUDENTS WHO ATTENDED THE INAUGURATION: New Due Date
I am interested in hearing the students’ voices. Share your account of this memorable experience in a two-page, typed essay, free of spelling and grammatical errors, and join me on another fieldtrip. Write about a personal highlight that you experienced. It must be in my office by Friday, January 30, 2009, at 3:00 p.m. Give me your finest work!
TO THE STUDENTS WHO COMPLETED WINTER BREAK HOMEWORK
Dr. Edwards will reach out to you within the next couple of weeks to participate in a planning session for the promised trip!
